The Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) is required for selective admissions for pre-nursing and is optional for pre-dental programs.

Students taking the TEAS exam at Isothermal Community College are granted two attempts per year, with a mandatory 30-day waiting period between attempts. We highly recommend that students utilize TEAS exam preparation resources before proceeding with their second attempt.

LearningExpress Library is available to all Isothermal students using their campus login. Once on the LearningExpress homepage search for “teas” to find the study material and practice tests. You will need to set up a LearningExpress login to use the materials and track your progress. If you have trouble with your campus login, contact the Help Desk. If you have other problems, contact the Library. The Library also has copies of the official TEAS study manual on Reserve for a one-week checkout. If you do not already have an Isothermal library card, please bring a picture ID to sign up for one.
Learning Express Library Help Desk Library Services
College and Career Readiness is offering free classes to prepare for the ATI TEAS exam. This course will go over reading skills and strategies, math, and science of the human body. This course can be done at the convenience of your own home. Private tutoring is also available by their staff.

Testers who want to take the test at Isothermal Community College Testing Center must contact the Counselor and Student Advocacy Coordinator to request accommodations. Call 828-395-4136 or email counseling@isothermal.edu for more information.
Accommodations may also be available for the At-Home ATI proctored option and the PSI Test Center option. Testers using these options should not contact the college, you will need to contact ATI or PSI for additional information.
