
Associate Degree Nursing students pinned during special ceremony

SPINDALE (May 13, 2025) – Forty-six Isothermal Community College nursing students were awarded their pins at a special ceremony this week.
The pinning ceremony, held at the Performing Arts and Conference Center at Isothermal Community College, is the traditional graduation event for the students in the Associate Degree Nursing program.
The graduates of the 2025 class are Lila Arlette Alvarez, William Amos, Ambria Lace Badger. Lindsey Taylor Beaver, Karrie Marie Bell, Kiara Nicole Brooks, Sara Jayde Brooks, Preston Isaac Byrd, Myasia Raliyah Carson, Halle Blake Champion, Lisa Teaster Childers, Cassandra Leigh Collins, Connie Elizabeth Conner, Tonya Elizabeth Davis, Josie Beth Fleming, Alyssa Foresman, Ashlynn Shaye Fortin, Allison Kay Freeman, Mary Elizabeth Gil, Julia Higgins, Lily McKenzy Hoyle, Kayla Morris Hylemon, Kaylee Elizabeth Jenkins, Keisha Johnson, Brittany Nicole Jones, Jennifer Elizabeth Jones, Madelyn Faye Lawter, Paul Leonardi, Latoria Miller, RoShane Harris Milling, Elizabeth Monique Petty, Sadie McBrayer Roach, Lola Rose Russell, Callie Burnett Rutherford, Sydney Claire-Kinter Sisk, Courtney Slowey, Kate Smith, RoShalle Speaks, Makiah Staley, Renee Drewery Styers, Lauren Mackenzie Tallent, Elizabeth Kathryn Tench, Katelyn Ball Toney, Beverly Ann Wallace, Wendy White, and Rachael Morgan Yancey.
Dr. Margaret Annunziata, president of Isothermal Community College, welcomed the audience. Graduates William Amos and Tori Miller made remarks to their classmates. Lila Alvarez presented a special remembrance to the class, followed by remarks from instructor Jessica Brown and a slide show by graduate Sadie Roach.
The nursing faculty presented class awards before nursing director Betsy Cuthbertson conducted the pinnings and lit the Nightingale lamps. She was assisted by Paul Leonardi, Lisa Alley, Tamara Lovelace, and Starr Tate.
