COLUMBUS (Oct. 21, 2021) – Getting started on a business degree in Polk County just got easier.
Starting in January, Isothermal will offer a hybrid business class at the Polk Center in Columbus. If participation is great enough, this should lead to subsequent classes for a certificate or degree program.
“We are offering a Business 110: Introduction to Business class as a hybrid course,” said instructor Rebecca Haney. “It will be Mondays next semester from 2:30 to 3:45 in person with the rest online. Hopefully, we’ll have enough interest to offer subsequent classes including Introduction to Computers, Business Law, and Principles of Management.”
The course offering is a response to community interest in curriculum classes at the Polk Center, said Michael Gavin, Isothermal’s director of Marketing and Community Relations.
“The Polk Center is a real gem and we hope the response to this class represents a strong start to more of this kind of programming here,” said Gavin.
With the college’s Powers Promise, residents of Polk and Rutherford counties will likely be able to take this class tuition-free. Registration for Spring 2021 opened earlier this week.
For more information and to sign up for the class, contact Haney at rhaney@isothermal.edu. Space is limited, so act quickly.
