i-TECH students spend 1st and 2nd period taking college classes, tuition-free, as a NC Career and College Promise (CCP) student at Isothermal Community College. Students will then return to their respective county high school for the remainder of their school day. i-TECH students can earn certificates in their designated pathways customized by college faculty and technical standards.
The purpose of Career and College Promise is to offer structured opportunities for qualified high school students to dually enroll in community college courses that provide pathways that lead to a certificate, diploma, degree, or State or industry-recognized credential as well as provide entry-level jobs skills. i-TECH students actively participate in career exploration through CCP in a variety of pathways; such as Agribusiness, Manicuring, Criminal Justice, Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, Audio/Visual Production, Advertising and Graphics Design, and Industrial Systems.
