Childcare Academy is an intensive, in-person 2-week program designed for high school graduates. At the successful completion of the program, students will earn the North Carolina Early Childhood Credential, allowing them to work in preschool classrooms, along with additional professional development training hours.
Field trips will be included to area childcare facilities and support for pre-employment steps will also be provided.
Scholarships are available for up to 10 students to attend completely free of charge. Total estimated costs per student without scholarship is $356.
