Costa Rica is a country with a limitless economy and a strategic location. To the traditional exports of bananas, coffee, sugar and beef, it has now added tourism and technology. This has helped the country maintain a high standard of living conditions and enabled residents to become landowners. With the highest level of foreign direct investment per capita in Latin America, Costa Rica continues its path of growth on the production of a wide variety of industrial and non-industrial products, leading its economy to prosper more and more. We are sure you will appreciate the standard of living in this wonderful country.

Participants must be at least 18 years old by the start of the trip.

Ensure that you have a valid passport.
If you do not have a passport, you will need to get one as soon as possible. This process can take weeks and is often delayed, so please apply as soon as you can.
If you already have a passport, make sure it will be eligible for a March/April 2024 trip. Passports must be valid for at least six months after the final date of the trip.
How to begin the process of getting a passport
If you are a student, consider signing up for HUM 180 in the spring. This course will run concurrent with our trip.
If you are a community member, you are welcome to enroll in the course, though it is not required.
