After your FAFSA is complete, there are several options for available financial aid.

When your application has been processed and transcript has been evaluated, the Admissions Office will determine if a placement assessment is needed. No need to wait for a letter in the mail. You may inquire with the Admissions Office by calling 828-395-4193 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
To schedule a placement assessment, call 828-395-1436. You may begin preparing by check out our study guides on the Prepare for the Placement Assessment page. This is important! Spending even a 4-6 hours preparing could save you save you months of coursework and tuition!
You may begin planning your schedule by visiting Patriot Port. Contact your advisor to schedule an advising and registration appointment. If you are not sure who your advisor is, that information can be found in Patriot Port or by calling 828-395-4193.
After registering for courses, you will need be sure you have sufficient financial aid or pay the balance of your tuition. While in Patriot Port or at the Business Office, you can get a copy of your schedule. Keep in mind that you may have to pay out of pocket if your financial aid package is incomplete and/or you are ineligible for the Powers Service Scholarship. The Priority Deadline for financial aid is November 19. We will continue processing after this date; however, we cannot guarantee final processing before payment is due.
