Associate Degree Nursing students pinned during special ceremony

SPINDALE (May 7, 2024) – Forty Isothermal Community College nursing students were awarded their pins at a special ceremony this week.
The pinning ceremony, held at the Performing Arts and Conference Center at Isothermal Community College, is the traditional graduation event for the students in the Associate Degree Nursing program.
This is the first class to complete Isothermal’s standalone ADN program since the dissolution of the Foothills Nursing Consortium.
The graduates of the 2024 class are Katanya R. Adams, Brittany Michelle Arnold, Kelsey Bishop, Thomas Caouette, Tina Sisk Clark, Calista Mariah Crank, Ashley Crosby, Kristin Lynn Edgerton, Jody Lee Gold, Chasity Goode-Albert, Sarah Grace Grinton, Olivia Shant’e Guy, Amelia Raquel Harmon, Andrea Hohrmann, Lorrie Bernard Johnson, Michael Jolley, Zoe Ann Marie Koon, Jennifer Swartz Lawrence, Ejustis Reggea Ledbetter, Ashley Deanna Logan, Kaylyn Lane Luckadoo, Buffy Lynch, Molly Marie Martin, Dionna Elise Massey, Kara Lillie McCurry, Georgia Nicole Moss, Aliyha Genea Mullins, Olivia Myraleen Price, Shona Richards, Madison Grace Rickard, Meryl Danielle Roberts, Katherine Rodriguez, Joanna Garren Roper, Ashley Hope Simmons, Magan Leeann Sisk, Brooke Thompson, Jacob Alexander Toney, Krissa G. Thrift, Carmen Vargas, and Jessica Nicole Walker.
Dr. Margaret Annunziata, president of Isothermal Community College, welcomed the audience. Graduates Kaylyn Luckadoo and Chasity Goode-Albert made remarks to their classmates. Ejustis Ledbetter presented a special remembrance to the class, followed by remarks from instructor Betsy Cuthbertson and a slide show by graduate Kara McCurry.
The nursing faculty presented class awards before nursing director Tracey Evans and Ava Yamouti, dean of Health and Public Services, conducted the pinnings and lit the Nightingale lamps.
The ceremony closed with music by Ashley Buchanan and a benediction by class member Georgia Moss.
