This page contains a listing of periodicals currently available in the library in hard copy or on microfilm. 

  • Current magazine and journal subscriptions accumulate on the shelves for two years prior to disposition of oldest year; selected titles of special academic value are retained as long as space allows.
  • Current newspaper subscriptions are held for two weeks before disposal except for the Forest City Daily Courier, print copies of which are retained until their microfilm copies are received.
  • Microfilmed newspapers and historical records are stored in cabinets and can be viewed and reproduced on library equipment.
    •

Please note that articles from more than 10,000 magazines, journals, newspapers and encyclopedias also are available in full text via  NC LIVE. Public access to NC LIVE is available on library computers; remote access is also provided to current students and employees via a password, which may be requested from the library staff.
