Job Placement for Graduates

Graduate employment rates are tracked annually for each curriculum program. Graduate surveys are completed either upon graduation or within six months following graduation. The percentages of surveyed graduates who reported that they were employed (Question 16) were 77%, 77.2%, and 62.3% for the past 3 years.The most current graduate survey results can be found at:

Beginning in 2000, the North Carolina Community College System began reporting graduate employment rates for each college based on North Carolina Employment Security records. Graduates who have wages reported in the system anytime during the year following graduation are considered employed. Overall employment rates for the Isothermal graduating classes of 2005-06, 2006-07, 2007-08 reported in 2008, 2009, 2010, were 100%, 99.5%, and 98.9%, respectively.The most current employment rates can be found on pages 53-55 (document pages 48-50) of the North Carolina Community College System Critical Success Factors report located at:

Placement in Employment

A computer station with Internet access is available in the Learning Support and Retention Office for job search and career assistance. 
In addition, instructors in each program area assist students as requested.
